Steve was born into an Italian family in Liverpool, England. Although not having academic success during his school years, he soon realised that he was destined for the Creative Arts in some form. Leaving school at 16 with no qualifications, Steve adapted to life well as a young man and had a strong work ethic. He also left home at 16 and began working in retail during the day and as a musician in the evening. His passions lay in performing and writing.

 

Later he began to work in Mental Health as a volunteer and combined music and creative writing in a therapeutic model working with adults with mental health challenges. Steve later went back into Further Education and gained a number of qualifications including; a Degree in Music, Cert. Ed, M.Ed,BA [hons] in Mental Health & Forensic Care, and a Post Grad SEN as well as many other awards while working under an Educational and Clinical remit. Steve still works as a part time tutor and musician, but his real passion is to write poetry. Steve writes about many themes including; Inspiration, Love, Lust and Desire, Reflection, Loss, and Humour.

 

Here is a sample of his works which may be shared by all avid readers of poetry. Steve writes his poetry from the heart, yet still with a balanced and measured view of the world as well as his own personal experiences. Since introducing his work on social media, it has become clear that there is a wider, eclectic mix of people out there who can relate to his work and may understand Steve’s sensitivity to how he writes.
